At first glance, we might think that mathematics and art have absolutely nothing in common, that they are polar opposites. But both are the result of a sophisticated language and great beauty. The mathematician sees beauty and elegance in the arrangement of a formula. The artist sees beauty and elegance in the arrangement of shapes and colors.

One of the goals of the Rosaces project was to bring together two opposites: mathematical logic and artistic emotion. We wanted to see if it was possible to use mathematics to create a colorful work of art capable of conveying emotion. From the coldness of calculation and mathematical logic, we produced a surprisingly satisfying result—one that is colorful and vibrant.

Once launched, the rosette comes to life before our eyes; it’s up to us to master its variables and control it to achieve results that inspire us.
